Join Shipton Riding Club

It only costs £25 / year! Plus discounts for further family members in the same household. There is also a "non-riding" membership available for £12 - allowing for all member benefits except discounts at ridden events.

Shipton Riding Club operates in West Dorset, with members from the area between Axminster, Yeovil, Dorchester and the sea. As a club we aim to help and encourage each other; run events, demos, clinics and hacks; send teams to BRC area/national competitions; and have fun! Members include everybody from happy hackers to high-level competitors in all disciplines. Certain events and clinics are members-only and are run as cost-effectively as possible. For our Open events, members always get preferential rates.

Each year we have fixtures such as:

• Unaffiliated Show Jumping

• Summer Show at Bricky, Toller Porcorum

• Demos on all subjects from treeless saddles to training aids

• Parelli camp – a weekend of playing, simulations and demos plus guest instructors

Each month we usually run a:

• Guided Hack somewhere in the area

• Show Jumping or Cross Country clinic with various instructors

• Friendly Dressage competition at Higher Park Farm, Broadwindsor

• Play-Day at Winterbourne Steepleton, including Parelli, Trec, Jumping and Mounted Games challenges

Each week Terry Cross teaches:

• Beginners, plus Flatwork and/or Jumping at Long Bredy
