Celia is a human and veterinary Chartered Physiotherapist, classical rider and published author.

She will first use 1 or 2 demo horses to teach the principles of assessing freedom of movement and devising appropriate pole-work to supple a horse - whether following an injury or for general use. Then the group will work together on specific challenges with the horses to make sure everyone leaves feeling confident about doing it themselves!

This wokshop will teach you the skills you would normally only get by booking a one-to-one session at a cost of £60 plus visit fee!

Celia has a knack of making very technical information easy to understand and interesting.

Dressage CLINIC at Broadwindsor

Annie Beatie, who often judges the dressage, will be leading a friendly yet constructive clinic. Your chance to find out what the judge is looking for and how to achieve it! You will get a 25 minute individual lesson, then ride your test and get interactive judge's comments. The choice of tests is: Prelim 10 or 18 or Novice 21.

Common Rider Stiffness/Asymmetry Problems and How to Correct Them

Celia is a human and veterinary Chartered Physiotherapist, classical rider and published author.

She will show us 2 or 3 horse & rider combinations, to demonstrate common rider problems (poor them!). Whether you are stiff, bracey, saggy or asymmetrical, she will explain how to recognise the symptoms in yourself and what to do about it!

Celia has a knack of making very technical information easy to understand and interesting.

The BHS will not allow us to run an unaffiliated class alongside, so Level 1 will be set at an easy level suitable for those who have never tried Trec before. Trec is a bit like competitive hacking - for more info about the sport, visit www.bhs.org.uk and follow the Trec links.

Please do come - this is a chance to discuss new ideas for the club and give feedback about the year's events. It is also a good opportunity to meet up and chat with other members.

One third of the committee will be retiring. It would be great to have some nominations for new committee members - or re-nomination of the old ones. To join the committee, a member just needs to be nominated and seconded by two other members. There are usually about 4 meeting a year to decide on events, investments, etc. If there are too many willing workers on offer there will be a postal ballot before the AGM. Festive Dressage Competition at Broadwindsor

Cancelled - rescheduled for Sunday January 13th 2008

We will be holding a raffle in aid of the Air Ambulance charity which Jack Bailey will be running. All entrants as last year will have a free ticket included in their entrance fee, more available on the day or before from Linda Paget or Gill Randall.
 
We will be offering the usual homemade goodies and mulled wine as well as tea coffee etc.
 
Decorating the horse/pony/rider is not compulsory but there will be a little something for the most festive entry judged by Annie Beattie.
 
SRC members should bring their new points cards!

Tests: walk & trot; Prelim 12; Prelim 18; Novice 21.
This is a mega-friendly and laid back venue – you don't have to dress up unless you want to, kids can be led round, the judges smile, but you still get proper judging sheets after your test.
