Shipton Riding Club operates in West Dorset, with members from the area between Axminster, Yeovil, Dorchester and the sea. As a club we aim to help and encourage one another; run events, demos, clinics and hacks; send teams to BRC area/national competitions; and have fun! Members include everybody from happy hackers to high-level competitors in all disciplines. Certain events and clinics are members-only and are run as cost-effectively as possible. Members get preferential rates at all our open events. We have yearly fixtures such as the Shipton Riding Club Summer Show, guided hacks, playdays, demos, flatwork and jumping tuition plus specialist clinics with well-known trainers. Check the calendar. Membership is £25 per year for adults or juniors (aged 8 to 17), but further members from the same household pay £20, so long as all pay at the same time. Shipton Riding Club is affiliated to British Riding Clubs and is part of Area 12, one of the largest areas in the national network of British riding clubs.
